A solo exhibition with Benni Kakert, curated by Tim Rosnebaum at von Racknitz + Baer Gallery, Berlin.
An oversized tar-coated bunk bed accompanied by 60 tar-soaked pets is the centerpiece of the exhibition. Kakert situates his visitors in an overstated yet sober spatial environment, taking place in the head of a child in its room sometime in the year 1998: the end of a light-hearted time, feeling consciously small with a sensitive and mature emotional perception. Feeling lonely with a desire for security. A saturated societal idea of supportive parenthood.
